I believe that therapy is, at its core, about relationships. It is about having a space where you can be fully yourself, feel understood, and explore the parts of your life that may be difficult to put into words. As a therapist, I want to offer that kind of space, one that feels warm, genuine, curious, and free of judgment.

My own cultural background has deeply shaped the way I understand people and the stories they carry. Growing up between cultures has taught me that identity is rarely simple or one-dimensional. Our families, cultures, values, expectations, and communities can all influence how we understand ourselves and what we believe we are supposed to be. Sometimes, those different parts of ourselves can feel difficult to reconcile. I understand how meaningful it can be to have someone create space for those complexities rather than asking you to choose one part of yourself over another.

This perspective is an important part of how I approach therapy. I am interested not only in what brings someone into the room, but also in the experiences that have shaped them, their relationships, family dynamics, culture, identity, transitions, and the beliefs they have developed along the way. I believe that many of the ways we cope, protect ourselves, and relate to others make sense when we understand where they came from.

I have a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, relationship concerns, questions around identity and self-worth, and periods of transition or uncertainty. I especially value working with people who may feel caught between different expectations, identities, or versions of themselves, or who have spent a long time prioritizing the needs of others and are beginning to ask, What do I want for myself?

I believe therapy should never feel like a one-size-fits-all process. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and honesty as we make sense of your experiences together. I don’t believe that therapy is about changing who you are. I believe it is about creating enough understanding and self-compassion to decide what you want to keep, what you want to let go of, and who you want to become.

As someone who has experienced the complexity of navigating different cultural worlds, I know that there can be both beauty and difficulty in figuring out where you belong. My hope is to create a therapeutic relationship where all of those parts of you have room to exist.

Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start exactly where you are.
