Understanding that life can be tough at times, Alexa is with her clients every step of the way. She has helped clients through a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, school, low self-esteem, eating and body image issues, and difficulties with life transitions. She has also helped with interpersonal, family, and relationship issues. Alexa is dedicated to empowering others and helping them successfully navigate through difficult times to live happy, fulfilling lives. By seeking support, you are already taking a significant first step towards achieving your best life.
Alexa provides a safe and supportive environment for her clients. Using an empathic, down-to-earth approach, she works to build strong relationships based on trust, compassion, and collaboration. Understanding yourself is an important step in your journey of healing and growth. Alexa will work with you to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and past experiences to help you better understand and manage the factors that are contributing to your current negative experiences. She works with her clients to discover and utilize their unique strengths and resources to help them find new solutions to their problems and attain their goals.
As an integrative therapist, Alexa takes an individualized approach to therapy to ensure that therapy is helpful to you. She believes in collaborating and adapting to ensure your needs and goals are being met. Alexa also believes in taking a holistic approach to well-being. By integrating evidence-based research in diverse bodies of science, including psychology, biology, nutrition, neuroscience, and sociology, she helps her clients maximize their well-being.
Alexa has a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Family Studies from the University of Western Ontario. She is a Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has worked with numerous mental health and wellness organizations, including the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, and Kinark Child and Family Services.
Alexa is passionate about her work and has genuine care and compassion for her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, travelling, watching movies, and spending time with loved ones.
