Career Coaching

Career coaching is the act of partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment. A career coach honours the client as the expert in their life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. The focus on both the client and organizational objectives is what distinguishes corporate coaching from other types of coaching. 

The career coach helps the client discover how changing or accommodating personal characteristics and perspectives can affect both personal and business processes. The corporate coach assists the client in determining the goal(s) they are struggling to accomplish and helps to clarify the organizational goals that support that of the individual client. The goal is to enable the client to understand their role in achieving business success, and to enhance that role in ways that are measurable and sustainable. This process helps clients to improve their outlook on work and life while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

 

The coach’s responsibility is to:

  • Encourage client self-discovery

  • Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies

  • Hold the client responsible and accountable
