Laura is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds a Masters degree with a concentration in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology from Western University. She has also completed a post-graduate program in Psychosocial Rehabilitation in Mental Health.

Laura provides psychotherapy to adult clients experiencing mood related and anxiety concerns, stress, ADHD and focusing challenges, identity concerns, interpersonal difficulties (including challenges with communication and vulnerability), attachment trauma, as well as to individuals who are undergoing life transitions. She practices in a culturally sensitive and trauma informed way.

In her practice, Laura seeks to provide individuals with a safe space to explore and understand their difficulties and experiences. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach that is tailored to each client and their unique needs. Her skills oriented approach, which includes facilitating the development of coping skills and the use of psychoeducation, is blended with a process oriented approach, which includes connecting patterns in one’s life to facilitate insight and promote self-understanding. She also assists clients in navigating whether an issue is best addressed from a change perspective or an acceptance perspective.

In previous work experiences, Laura has provided psychotherapy to clients with ADHD and other comorbidities, mood and anxiety concerns, personality concerns, and adjustment related difficulties.
