About the event
Nobody talks about the parts of motherhood that don't fit neatly into the story. The love can be there, and so can the exhaustion. The gratitude can be there, and so can the grief for the life that came before. Pregnancy and early motherhood can be wonderful, but they can also bring unexpected emotions and moments when you barely recognise your own life.
Beyond the Bump is a supportive group for pregnant and postpartum women who would like the opportunity to talk openly about the transition into motherhood. Through guided discussions, we will explore the emotional realities of this stage of life, and the pressure many women feel to be coping better than they are.
