About the event

The world is stressful enough. How do we stop bringing that stress home to our children?


Being a parent is worrying enough without everything else going on in the world. Between rising living costs, climate change, conflict and the constant stream of worrying news, it's sometimes difficult not to feel overwhelmed. And while we can't control what's happening around us, we can learn how to manage the effect it has on us and our families.


This online workshop looks at how we can manage our own stress, anxiety, rage and grief without passing those feelings on to our children.


Through mindfulness, breathing exercises, self-compassion and gentle movement based on traditional Chinese medical qigong, we'll explore practical ways to recognise when we're becoming overwhelmed and how to respond skilfully.


We'll also look at how our own emotions affect our children and why learning to manage our reactions can help them feel…
